Kentucky State Approved Courses
In Kentucky, all early childhood educators working in licensed child care facilities must complete a mandatory 6-hour orientation within 90 days of hire, followed by 15 hours of annual training. Topics must align with Kentucky’s Core Content areas, such as family engagement, learning environments, and health and safety. The state also emphasizes credentialing pathways through the KY Early Childhood Professional Development Framework, supporting educators as they advance professionally via scholarships and a tiered career lattice.
