Washington State Approved Courses
In Washington, providers must complete the 30-hour STARS Basic Training within the first 3 months of employment, then complete 10 hours of annual continuing education. Washington also emphasizes racial equity and trauma-informed care through its Foundational Quality Standards and MERIT registry, where all training and staff qualifications must be tracked.
