New Jersey State Approved Courses
In New Jersey, child care center staff are required to complete a minimum of 12 hours of annual training approved by the Office of Licensing (OOL). Mandatory topics include health and safety, behavior management, child development, and child abuse reporting. Providers participating in Grow NJ Kids—the state’s QRIS—must also meet higher professional development expectations tied to quality benchmarks and continuous improvement.
