Massachusetts State Approved Courses

Massachusetts sets detailed role-based training requirements through its Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Educators must complete orientation training, first aid/CPR, and ongoing 20-hour annual professional development, which includes topics like inclusion, cultural competency, and curriculum planning. EEC also mandates that educators be registered in the EEC Professional Qualifications Registry and strongly encourages advancement on the career pathways system.
