Minnesota State Approved Courses
Minnesota requires all licensed child care staff to complete annual in-service training, including at least 16 hours for teachers in center-based settings. Specific mandatory topics include sudden unexpected infant death (SUID) and abusive head trauma (AHT). The state uses the Develop Registry to track professional development and align it with the Minnesota Knowledge and Competency Framework, part of its tiered quality rating system (Parent Aware).
