Ohio State Approved State Registry
Ohio uses the Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) system to ensure its early educators meet high standards. Teachers and assistant teachers in SUTQ-rated programs must complete 20 hours of Ohio Approved professional development every two years, while all licensed providers must complete regular child abuse recognition and CPR training. Training must align with the Ohio Professional Development Registry (OPDN), and coursework is often tied to the state’s early learning standards and instructional practices.
