Virginia State Approved Courses

Virginia educators working in licensed child day centers must complete 16 hours of professional development annually. This includes training on child abuse and neglect, safe sleep, emergency preparedness, and child development. The state supports professional growth through the Virginia Career Pathways for Early Childhood and participation in the Unified Virginia Quality Birth to Five System (VQB5).
