Mississippi State Approved Courses

Mississippi mandates that staff in licensed child care facilities complete 15 hours of annual training. Topics must include child development, guidance techniques, health and sanitation, and emergency preparedness. The state’s QRIS program, known as the Mississippi Child Care Quality Step System, offers incentives for centers that invest in ongoing staff development.
